Employment History

From April 2008 until July 2014, I was employed as a Senior Sales Consultant and Manager of Product Consulting at Tableau Software Inc. My role there included leadership, direct presales work, website content creation, support triage, training material creation, knowledge base creation and maintenance, quality assurance testing, and more. I was directly involved with all sales while Tableau grew from 1 million per quarter to 100 million per quarter in 2014. Corporations I have worked with include Lafarge, McGraw Hill, Aramco, Credit Suisse, Pfizer, Wells Fargo, Microsoft, Amazon, EBay, Apple and many others. Aspects of my work at Tableau included custom demo preparation, training preparation and presentations, web integrations for Tableau Server, onsite pre- and post-sales visits, training and paid services engagements.

From July 2000 until April 2008 I was the Solutions Manager and a Senior Sales Consultant at I-many Inc, a publicly traded software company focused on Contract Management and Analytics software for pharmaceutical and med surge manufacturers. My responsibilities included direct sales, account management, presales support, creation of complex demonstration systems and prototypes, product design and roadmap management, quality assurance work, and paid services engagements. Corporations I worked with included Honeywell, Genentech, P&G, Grainger, Merck, Pfizer, and many others. Over an 8 year period, I was directly involved with approximately $80 million in software license revenue. I worked with and reported directly to the executive management team. In august 2010, I-many was taken private and now operates as revitas.com.

From April 1999 until July 2000 I was the Director of Technical Services for Rapid Logic Inc, a designer of open source, embedded device management software. I was a member of the executive management team and provided pre- and post-sales support and services for our entire client base. Corporations I worked with included Nortel, Cisco, Broadcom and many others. As the leader of a 12 person technical team, I was tasked with supporting an advanced open source system written in C and C++ as well as the creation of an extensive monthly training program for our clients. I was directly involved with approximately $12 million in annual sales. Rapid Logic was acquired by WindRiver Systems in the summer of 2000.

From January 1998 until April 1999 I was the Manager of Systems Engineering for Netopia Inc. During my time there I was the lead presales engineer for the software division and managed a team of 5 presales staff. Netopia designed and sold advanced remote control, network management and security software. Day to day responsibilities included presales engagements and software demonstrations, post-sales support, and engaging with the software design teams. I was directly involved with approximately $8 million in license revenue. Netopia is now DBA Arris Corp.

From September 1996 until January 1998 I was the Systems Architect and Director of IT for Grace Cathedral and the Grace School for Boys. I managed a staff of three and supported an organization of over 100 staff members. My responsibilities included all day-to-day network and IT operations, the design and implementation of a funds tracking database system, creation and management of two separate websites, weekly web audio broadcasts, and more.

From November 1995 until September 1996 I was a Support Analyst and Unix Administrator for The Well, the worlds' first online virtual community. My responsibilities there included software and hardware testing, customer support, website design, internet connection support and network design and support. The Well was acquired by Salon.com.

From June 1992 until November 1995 I worked at Pyramind Sound as an audio engineer intern. Their setup included tons of macs, pro tools, logic audio, various add-ons, and tons of other music gear.
